Here we go! After this one, the current roster will be done. Over the course of the season, which I'll keep you updated on regularly (along with features on the guys on the team and whatnot, just like a real college's athletic site), I'll introduce other important people as the kids march on towards the College World Series.
So let's polish the roster off with a brand new backup catcher!
Full Name: Benny Armando Jiminez
Answers To: His name, nothing more
Age/Class Year: 18 / Freshman
Height/Weight: 6'0" / 187 lbs.
Other Relevant Information: Benny was a standout catcher at the high school level, but the scouts in and around his hometown of Pittsburgh told him that he was unfit to play at the college level. He decided to join one of the many Wiffle ball teams at Slumberwood when he got there in order to keep playing baseball - or at least a form of it, for that matter. Gage Wetterman, being a senior, realized that it was important to find a backup catcher early so that he could have time to form a battery with the staff before Gage graduated. He also knew that it was important to find someone to develop a strong battery relationship with Randall Klossner, who had previously been one-half of several poor batteries without strong bonding. Due to his Wiffle ball experience, Gage knew that Benny would be the perfect person to handle Randall's several breaking balls, and he convinced him to join the team as a backup catcher.
Image: Yes, that is his Wiffle ball uniform. Yes, he has a Wiffle ball uniform.
And there we go, all done! Hooray!
