When cruelty becomes permissible as a means to any end, it becomes possible to every situation.

What do we think?

We think well, in some circumstance this is acceptable. But once it enters, hatred spreads and oscillates. Violence then becomes a means. It is considered, regarded.

It comes into reality.

What do we expect?

Racism for example. We have thought that cruelty was permissible. We have given consent for atrocities of action and thought.

We have been forced to consider the error in our ways. Now we must change our mind.

This takes time, steps, healing,  ritual. Practice. Training. Focus. Drive.

This must be a religion.

And this is disgusting to say, for cruelty has been so welcomed that our compassion for the joy of caring for others has diffused,

But what do we expect when cruelty is an acceptable policy at all?

Eventually, all loathing comes home. All rejection is self rejection. It becomes more and more obvious, screaming to be plucked and shattered. To be destroyed.

It comes back around to the place where the thing we wanted to protect lives. Because when we reject, we regard all of our highest loves as unacceptable. We become impossible.

This should not be the place our change comes from.

Our change of mind should come from the sense one has when a stubborn utensil mist be cleaned. No filth in the system, no filth to make us sick. Scrub it out. Examine what it is. Make sure we know what it looks like, smells like, feels like. Make ourselves see its true nature.

So that it can be eradicated forever.
