The first Word in WiFi is.....Wireless
I got less sleep than i wanted last night, because i was up late (even for me) reprogramming my remote, which is programmed over the internet. (It's a very cool, very functional, highly-reccomended Harmony remote from Logitech.)
Anyway, after living for months (years?) with it not letting me fast forward, rewind or pause DVDs and a couple other minor issues, I decided tweak the setup to see if I could get it working.
So I'd go down to the study, which is 2 flights down from the TV room/loft/sunroom (blackout blinds are key here), then run back up stairs to test it on the TV.
Each time I'd disturb Elnathan who was napping on the couch. She meowed in annoyance each of the first 4 times, but after that just gave up caring.
Then after about 8 or so trips up- and down-stairs to reprogram, test, reprogram again I realized -- duh -- i could have just brought the iBook upstairs and done it in front of the TV using my Wireless Fidelity (aka WiFi).
Duh.
Kinda' amazing I make a living at computer support, isn't it?
