Haven't had a football metaphor for a while
(This one may sound similar to one I've used earlier)
There's :03 left in the game, and SL is on Fruitport's six yard line. Down 30-35, all they need is this last play to potentially win the game. Zacek leads the offense on the field...tries to hard count to draw Fruitport offsides, doesn't work. Takes the snap!...drops back, runs through his checks, sees a man WIDE OPEN in the endzone, and
IS JACKED UP.
Before he could even get throw the ball, he was completely blindsided by this monster defensive lineman. The ball pathetically fell out of his hand, but was technically a forward pass.
30-35, I lose.
