two against three

If you want to see something beautiful, google image search "glasswing butterfly" and take a look. I have never seen butterflies like these!

I have forgotten or otherwise lost the ability of playing two against three, one hand playing a triplet figure while the other plays a duplet. Think of patting your belly and rubbing your head simultaneously and then switching rapidly between the two. My problem is that I keep accenting the wrong finger as I try to play the duplet without rushing. Of course, there should be no accent at all! This will take some practice. I'm working on one of the Mendelssohn "Songs without Words," in Ab major, what a wonderful key!

Tomorrow I must get motivated much earlier (perhaps in the morning: early to rise?) instead of waiting until 1:30am to wish I had read/studied/practiced/learned something/been useful to someone today. Any ideas about this? Gimli keeps trying to get me out of bed earlier in the morning, but he is too sharp! so I keep hiding. He just wants more breakfast anyway.
