The One With Spring Quarter
I was soooo ready to hate this quarter.
First, I have Lit 101 (which some people absolutely detest and even, in one extreme case, gave up the lit major - and yet there are others like one guy in my french class who took it twice because it was *fun*). Lit 101 is scary shit. Too much literary theory that never stays in my head. I spaced out through most of the lecture. I must say the professor is sweet and I know A LOT of people in that class. I swear, every time I looked up I saw someone else I knew - friends, hallmates, enemies (grr), crush (I didn't see him but I heard his name called and recognized his voice - damn those huge lecture classes!) and even my childhood friend who I grew up with.
Ok, there are a bunch of other types of people even the 'okaaaaay' girl from a skit I saw that was too funny. Hee! I was happy with that. Anyway, next there is international environmental law. I was soooo dreading that class. I've never had upper div so it was way scary but omg, the class was beyond fun! The teacher is great, knowledgeable, pleasing on the eye in a good way (not like drop dead gorgeous but nice enough that it keeps me awake) and engaging. I had so much fun even though I didn't say much - I was surprised how much it all blew by me. What was cooler is that Julie is in the class! I haven't seen Julie since last year and man, it was great to see her again. There are some other people I had lgst 10 with fall quarter but man..... this is going to be the best class!
Also, little ol' me got the $80 textbook for $40 w/ shipping off Amazon's marketplace (which is awesome!!!). The supplement (which is huuuuuuuge) cost almost that amount. I still don't have all my books but I got some binders, organizers and papers and really got down and organized. I have color coded everything and it's amazing. I'm so used to cramming it all into one notebook and stuffing my work into a clear file folder. Plus it looks good. No wonder I was voted Clean Freak in my senior class (seriously! me and Enrico Zazzeron got elected - I was such a prick with my school uniform and locker and backpack). Oyy... memories...
So yeah, just rambling along...
OH! ANYONE KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A CD-RW DRIVE???
I've never opened up my comp and I'm scared to so if anyone would be so kind as to help me it would be much appreciated. I can't pay you but isn't my sweet smile enough? Haha! But seriously, I would love some help in this department. Thanks!
So yeah, must do some homework now and get ready for tomorrow (easy day for me - only two hours of mailroom - which is a warzone right now - we can't even do open hours because there is too much stuff from spring break to do and one class). Oh yeah, latinos in the US. Should be a piece of cake and the teacher (Trujillo) is excellent! I'm happy.
