Letters home and more introductions to Fandom, Room 408, Early Morning
Ami sat at her desk and typed on her laptop. Since it was fairly early in the morning she was making every attempt to NOT sing along with the music in her headphones.
Dear Father
I have arrived safely here at Fandom High. The location is beautiful and the accommodations are spacious and neat. My roommate is very friendly if a tad strange looking. She appears to be from just a bit over 300 years into the future. This is not uncommon here it seems.
At the welcoming functions, I met my assigned Big Sister, her name is River. She is from another planet AND a number of years in the future. I also met a boy named Billy who seemed nice and reassured me that it was safe here. A girl named Pippi and myself traded information on the sorts of classes that existed here.
All in all it was a good first day. I miss you as always, and will do my very best to make you proud.

The more Ami listened the more she was horrified by what she heard. Why was someone calling her an invader? And why were they talking about her on the radio at all??
