Goodbye, LJ. It's now Dreamwidth always.
Hi, everyone. This will be my last post to LJ, thanks to the new terms of service. (Which of course, aren't really the terms of service because they're in English. It's the Russian version that's ~real~.) For a overview of why, see this tumblr post.
I'm not going to delete my account here, at least, not yet. If it vanishes without me saying anything, then apparently I broke the new Russian ToS, and the Russian Powers that Be decided I needed to be silenced.
I've also turned off my paid account here. I'm not sending any more money to Russia. I loathe censorship, and being gay or trans or a cross-dresser or liking slash or wearing a fur suit is not a crime. IS NOT A CRIME. I've been patient with LJ through the years of screw-ups with fandom, but this is the last straw.
Everyone, I invite you to join me on Dreamwidth. It's owned and hosted by fans in the USA, where freedom of speech is still important. And if you want to write a story with men kissing or draw an evil mustache on the politician of your choice, then you can.
