Zack normally wasn’t a light sleeper. He often said he could sleep through judgment day. And by all accounts it was true. The band had partied through the night and Zack had slept through it, sober. At least the ones he wasn’t attending. The point was not much woke him up.
Maybe it was the fact that he was lacking that familiar warmth beside him, or maybe it was that odd screeching noise that woke him. Maybe it was both. But something roused Zack from his particularly pleasant dream and he was not happy about it. He frowned, hearing music from the next room. The beat was far too upbeat for 3 am, and it was nothing he was used to hearing in this particular house. This unusual music combined with Matt’s absence in bed force Zacky to drag his ass from the warm sheets to go investigate.
Rubbing his eyes and adjusting the boxers that had turned themselves around while he slept Zack stumbled down the hall to the spare room. The door was open a crack and it was definitely the source of the music. Why was Matt listening to some girl singing about needing someone to love? Was he dreaming? This was ridiculous.
Cautiously he pushed the door open a bit and was greeted with a sight that made him want to fall down and laugh while simultaneously tear out his brain and reboot his memory somehow.
He doubted there was ever a way that was happening. He questioned why this was happening…again
Laughter is what alerted Matt to Zack’s presence and he gasped, searching for something to cover himself with. There were no words to describe his embarrassment. This was the third time Zack had caught him dancing to Justin Bieber.
All Zack managed to gasp out was, “Why are you naked?” before he simply couldn’t form words anymore he was laughing so hard.
