poutergeist! Here's a small drabble (emphasis on small... D: )~
Sometimes, Sanji thought that time passed so fast. It didn't feel like it was years ago he set out from his home at Baratie to join up with Luffy's crew, yet time had passed. The sun still shone warm from the sky, but the leaves on Nami's tangerine trees were turning brown and the autumn was close. Yet another summer was over, and soon another year.
He sometimes thought that he should hurry up and do the things he wanted to do, before it was too late. Except finding All Blue, Sanji had other dreams as well; things he wanted to do before his life ended. It felt like he was wasting the time he had been given (because he knew it probably wouldn't be a full length life with the pirate life he was leading) with lazy days on the Sunny, doing nothing but watching how yet another leaf fell from the tangerine trees.
Yet he watched the sun move across the sky, and despite that it's soon dinner time, he curls up in Zoro's lap in the shade of the tree planted on the deck of the grand ship. It is at times like this he doesn't give a shit if years and years pass by, as long as this very moment remains. All thoughts and plans for the future disappears in the puff of smoke from his cigarette.
So, despite all his great plans and dreams, when Luffy calls out to him that he's hungry and wants meat, and wants meat now, Sanji tells him to shut it. When his captain whines like a hurt puppy, Sanji sighs and says he'll get down cooking soon.
He just want to enjoy wasting time a little more, chin nuzzled against a hard stomach and harsh, thick fingers playing with his hair. He crushes the cigarette against Zoro's sole and exhales his last smoke. The future could wait, but not Luffy's hunger. So he thought for himself that maybe it was time to get down to business after all.
Just another five minutes.
