Crap Attack

We bought this cute towel rod/medicine cabinet combo (okay, it's cute. Trust me) from Target. It comes home, gets unpacked, partially assembled when we realize that it's missing something important. A hole. A hole for the towel rod to go through so that the product matches its picture. After carefully examining the really tiny illustrations on tissue paper we conclude it is a manufacturer's defect. We go back to Target and get another. This one has holes... things are looking up. Turns out, fully assembled, the thing is a piece of crap. It hangs on little tiny, itty bitty screws that hold the top part of the cabinet to the wall. What holds the rest of the cabinet to the top? Well, one lock-bolt and some glue. That's right. Good 'ole Elmer's. Lets think about this for a minute. Water based glue in a high humidity location...factor in the tempation to fall on someone's head as they are using the toilet... Yup totally destined to fall apart.
I wondered, initally, why the medicine cabinets at home depot were $100 when the ones at Target were $39.
Buyer Beware.
