Fuji: The High Priestess
Since Fuji brought up very reasonable concerns about the Rockets and privacy, in general, Merlin guesses that he is pretty quick-witted and intelligent. Merlin also has a feeling that Fuji's very cautious--not that Fuji's afraid to try things, but cautious. He's not sure where this impression's coming from--perhaps from the questions Fuji asked, and his way of approaching things--but it's made Merlin just a bit wary, as well, even if he's grateful for the other man's help. Fuji's curiosity regarding foresight and changing the future is also putting Merlin on guard, if only because it's a topic Merlin isn't too willing to delve into.

Franziska: The Tower (Reversed)
Despite his initial misgivings, Merlin doesn't think Franziska's all that bad. Sure, she's more than a little forceful and also insanely stuck in her ways, but Merlin's seen glimpses of her other side--the side that isn't afraid to find joy in things that really interest her. To be honest, Merlin feels a bit sorry for her. He's still a bit fuzzy on

lmao, you'll find that Merlin takes to anyone friendly pretty easily, so rank 3 and 4 are relatively easy to reach. It's level 5 and above that are difficult to reach;;

Cocona: The Star
First of all, Merlin is so grateful that she helped him out during the Lingerie-Incident-That-Shall-Never-Be-Named-Again without making any cracks at him. Not even one. It isn't that Merlin opposed to a bit of good-natured teasing, but he's just amazed at her ability to take people for their word without hesitation. That alone tells him that Cocona is kind and trusting; learning that she's collecting the badges for other peoples' sake, rather than her own, only cements Merlin's good opinion of her.

Hee, yes we doooo. And I'm doing the arcana choices a bit different differently. Rather than choosing them from the character, as a whole, I'm basing them on how Merlin perceives the person. The only exceptions to this are the Persona characters, who already have an arcana assigned to them canonically.

Heather: The Chariot
Even from their first conversation over the Gear, Heather's made herself out to be fierce, helpful, and independent. These are all qualities that Merlin respects, but above all, he respects her desire to do protect others. Since they've decided to team up against the Joker and become training partners, Merlin's also gotten to see the rougher edges beyond the playful friendliness. Still, despite her occasionally brash outspokenness, Merlin knows that Heather has her heart in the right place and wouldn't mind getting to know her better in the future.

I think that's a really neat idea! And a great way to get some variety. XD Heather actually does have an arcana assigned to her canonically-- but I think those sorts of things can be so variable depending on what the relationship is, I think Chariot works fine for how Merlin perceives her!
