[miniworth]

1. The night was cold and damp and Miles remembered being worried about his own health as he curled up with his Arcanine in their thankfully waterproof tent. But when he woke up the next morning to a forest clearling sparkling with dew lit up by the morning sunlight, all miserable feelings evaporated from his mind.

2. Miles Edgeworth was never an outdoor person until he came to Johto. However he'd always liked the Pokémon that he met there, and when he was dragged into some form of tea party in the rain with a group of Woopers and Quagsires, he figured that his damp clothes and muddy shoes were worth it.

3. "I don't know - my hair would get really frizzy and I'd get pissed off," was what Claire said with a grimace from the other side of the screen, but Miles grinned from his perch on a tall tree (Merlin had taught him how to tree climb, and he was exploiting this new skill to the fullest) and turned his camera around to show her the brightest rainbow either of them had ever seen.

4. Miles was laughing and laughing and laughing after Claire taught him the magic of running through puddles without worrying about splashing other people.

5. Though they were cheated from the opportunity of looking up at the sky - something they couldn't do with the polluted air of the cities back home - as they lay on their stomachs in their tent and looked out at the rain, there was something about the situation that made Claire and Miles forget about their hard lives back in their respective worlds and grin at each other.

+1: But then he collapsed from the worst case of the common cold that could ever exist the moment they reached Goldenrod, and he grimaced at everyone who visited him and declared that he was never going to do that again.
