I have a question for the superstitious among you. Is it considered good luck or a portent of bad things to come if a frog moves in next door?
In case there's doubt, I'm no xenophobe; the frog in question here is the amphibious kind, not a person from France. It would seem that Miss Piggy has thrown Kermit out of the house and he's leased a new bachelor pad in the courtyard fountain near my bedroom window.
If he's good luck, I'll leave him alone. But if he's bad luck, I'm going to be tempted to "accidentally" pour kerosene into the fountain and "mistakenly" strike a match. I've grown weary of his damned mating calls keeping me awake all night. Rather than make a nuisance of himself, he needs to be quiet and hit the bar scene or read the personals like civilized folks. Either he should try those things, or buy that bejeweled porcine diva of his a bouquet of roses with an apology attached so she'll take him back to her bosom--which, given the way she's built, should go a long way toward dampening the sound of his noise.
