Something really funny..
when I go into the lab storage room that's full of chemicals and DANGEROUS stuff, there's all these bottles with thin plastics over them..so I look closer and they usually say stuff like "proven to cause cancer" or "suspected to cause cancer, handle with care."Hmm..like a thin, cheap plastic is gonna prevent it from causing ( Read more... )

oh yeah, you gotta love those signs that warn you about cancer and toxicity, yet they're protected by that thin layer of plastic.

you want a prof who warns you about safety? just go downstairs to the 3rd floor and ask for dr. hall. she'll lecture you about lab safety for half an hour, let alone just tell you to put gloves and a lab coat on.

I feel pretty good. =)
I'm definitely gonna be driving it everywhere...and hopefully learn how to pump my own gas, cos I don't know how to =.=
Um yeah.
I hope this year's the best for me too...and if not, I'm gonna be disappointed. =(

Im disappointed n this yr. *sigh* I had higher xpectations...But 4 u it looks good :)

Pumping gas is ez, jus wash ur hands afwards.

U could always jus ask some1 @ the gas station, lol.

18 is a big deal in australia, cos u can drink and go clubbing legally....

i guess its no biggie in america thogh :/ ?

No, it's a big deal.
You become legal here as well. Except for the stupid rule that says you can't drink until you're 21. argh. haha.
You can go clubbing, and smoke, and buy porn, and sign contracts when you're 18. so YAY. hahaa

it's excellent that you're happy and it's a really good opportunity too. because here, we have to get at least an average of a HD to even apply for the job u're doing.

It's not a job, I don't get paid. I'm just doing it for lab experience. So I don't do hard stuff. I mostly help out and work with super easy stuff that I have the background to do.
A lot of my friends also have mentors at the university that they work with for science projects and experiments. My best friend recently just came back from INTERNATIONAL science fair. Yeah..her project is really good...it's about this unknown fungi, and its affects on humans. She's being working with the fungi for like 1 year now.

I don't know what a HD is...
