While it can be interpreted several different ways, the etymological basis of the word 'utopia', which has come to refer to a perfect place, is the Greek neologism 'outopia,' which means 'no place,' as though whoever thought up the word was trying to warn us right from the beginning not to look so hard for or put so much faith into finding something that can't be found.

It kind of makes my eyes burn. The irony, you know. The way I think we kind of missed the point.
