http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/08/people.david.blaine.ap/index.html He's planning to hold his breath for nine minutes tonight, while freeing himself from some kind of restraints (houdini style), after being submerged in this snow globe for a week underwater with no food and very little sleep. He says his muscles and joints are extremely painful, among other things. Truly hard to believe that he's going to make it nine minutes- apparently the world record is just under that, and it's for "static apnea", which is basically lying face down perfectly still. Obviously his hands and feet are pretty bad, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the skin tears off. ABC's doing a special on it tonight starting at 8. How they'll fill 2 hours I don't have any idea, but I'll be watching.

7 minutes 8 seconds. A valient effort, my hat's off to the guy.
