Today was a great day. I went shopping with my friend and bought some new shoes and pants, and then we sat at Starbucks and had a nice talk about the usual shit. She asked me what I wanted out of a relationship, and for once I really had to think about it. I suppose I want what everyone does - loyalty, fun, good communication, trust, great sex, enough things in common to maintain interest. Looking back on past relationships I realized that I only had maybe a few of those, namely the great sex part. And as strange as it is to hear me say it, sex can't make a relationship, there's a whole bunch of parts that make it a whole. So I wonder, what do people look for in a mate? Do they just go ahead and take it as it comes, or do they specifically search for what they want?
