Mecon/Colchester/Dublin Zoo

I was going to write a bunch of posts about stuff, but I seem to be too busy living my life to find time to write about it! However, here's what we've been up to in the past while:

We were at Mecon, and very good it was too. We met lots of LJ folk, and even non-LJ folk. You all know who you are. A special mention to _vomit for being a seriously drunken gothette. Big Up to captainlucy for chairing it all. We'll definitely be back next year! Millions of thanks to Leah & John for the t-shirt they brought over as a gift.

I came back from Belfast to find a mail from David Lloyd asking for details of Irish comic shops as he wants to a signing here. I'm now doing a quick interview with him about his new book, and other things. Expect to see him here in late September.

We went to Colchester on Thursday last for Deirdre's cousin's wedding. This was, amazingly, the first time I'd ever flown, and got to do it amidst some very serious security. Good fun was had by all! Samuel Johnson once said about the Giant's Causeway that it was worth seeing, but not worth going to see. Much my own opinion of Colchester...

Back from Colchester on Saturday, and off to the zoo on Sunday, to meet jemck and her two sons, which was most pleasant. A fine and civilised way to spend ephiriel and my second wedding anniversary.

And that's the very brief version of what's being going on in the past few weeks! How have you all been?
