Although people are mostly horrible in florida, there is still a very small handful of characters that are born and raised there who i really miss being around every now and then. Not necessarily the retired and wretched, emancipated, illegal, or rich people. Just common folk from florida. They rarely have an educated opinion on anything. There's no intellectual battles with them and they're always so nice and chatty. They're the type of people that you don't get annoyed with for being staunch republicans because their reasons might actually carry some weight from personal experience with their business or whatever. Some of them have a billion stories to tell but they don't wear them like trinkets on a bracelet or anything. I guess it's a southern thing but with a floridian twist maybe.

It's a nice change from ottawa where everybodys a student and a lot of them roam around fighting intellectual wars it seems. I hated my tutorials for my political science classes at carleton. ugh
