AN: So, my lovely darling dodger_sister posted something magnificant a couple weeks while ago,
THIS AMAZING THING, and we "ohhhhh"ed and "ahhhhhh"ed back and forth for a while and the whole conversation ended with "so my birthday is this date *wink wink nudge nudge*," so of course I had to write something for her!!! How could I NOT? And then this amazing person known as petite_madame decided to be awesome and send me art when my computer was being a butt and not let me download anything, so I made suggested that she prompt me to pay her back (;D)(Which, I'm so sorry hon!!! This story kind of took over, so your prompt isn't really all there- but I hinted at it and have a mention of a beach! Bleh.)
So this oneshot is dedicated to the lovely dodger_sister for her birthday and to petite_madame for being awesome! Hope you two enjoy this!
ALSO- this is un'betaed :D So if you see anything wonky- tell me so I may kill fix it :DDDD

I love to sleep. Dreams overtaken by rolling hills and meadows with grasses so green that taste like chicken on my tongue, by soft beds and softer blankets inside a warm and cozy cabin that smells of balsa wood and roasted marshmallows, by friends and family curled up close in the dark, snuggled in so tightly together no one can tell where one begins and another ends. Sometimes, I wish real life were like that. No worries, no cares, just the perpetual fresh smell of open air and food so fine it melts in your mouth.
But then my brother does something like push his head into my side when we’re resting after a run, tongue lolling out, drool soaking the thin pillow separating us from the floor, and looking like there was nothing better in the world he could be doing. Or my two best friends in the world hull both of us onto their bed, smiles soft and crooked in a fond and affectionate manner, to cuddle together on a particularly cold night.
Those are the times that make it worth it to wake up, to face a new day with its many challenges and hardships that need overcoming, to make new memories that make life all the brighter.
“Sadie!”
My head pops up from where it’s propped up on my paws and Harley absentmindedly kicks me in the side lightly with his foot in irritation. He hates it when his beauty sleep is interrupted.
Jensen, or Jared’s “pretty man” as Harley and I affectionately call him when he’s being particularly dorky and adorable, kneels down in front of me, smile wide and toothy, green eyes crinkled.
“Hey darling, you ready for a day at the beach?”
He rubs his hands gently over the soft fur on my neck, just how I like it. I lean into the touch and then push myself to stand so I can show Jensen just how much I appreciate the love. He laughs and wipes the saliva off from where I’d licked his stubbled cheek.
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
