--So, my time with Cirque du Soleil is over. It was definitely interesting, and I'm definitely glad I got to do it, but I'm just as definitely glad it's over. It really was exhausting. I did do one bad thing, though. ....or one bad thing many, many times. I wasn't allowed to take pictures, but I walked around the last few days I worked with my phone at my side, surreptitiously taking pictures kind of randomly. I'm eeeeevil, but I got some pretty cool ones.
--Now the Nationals are in the playoffs, so I may be working more games for them, although it's still pretty unclear as to whether the league is going to insist that only BossLady work for them. We'll see.
--The tiling and grouting is done in the bathroom. Finally. Mark is going to (I think, anyway) start to seal the grout tomorrow while I'm at work, and then after that all that's left is putting in the hardware, the toilet, the vanity and the light. I'm looking forward to this being done!
--Claude smells like pie. Blueberry pie, to be specific. We've usually used Febreze on him, but when I was at Petsmart last week, I was looking for some kind of dry shampoo to tackle the constantly damp fur on his neck, and found this stuff that is a spray-on dry shampoo. And I have to say, it works pretty well. And now we have a PiePuppy.
--So, today marks the end of week one of the "Couch to 5K" thing. I tried to start running again a couple of years ago, and I definitely made the mistake of going at it too hard from the beginning, like I'd never really stopped running, and it really hurt. With this, the instructions say not to do anything harder than the instructions, and if anything, make it easier for yourself. So, I followed the directions exactly, and I'm happy to say that not only were the runs fairly easy, but I'm not in any pain at all, and I expect I won't have any trouble with moving on to week two. Hopefully my doctor will be happy with this. Now I just need to get back to the gym.
--Speaking of the doctor, I got my flu shot today, and I'm feeling wiped out. I was pretty productive all day, but around about 5:30 it was like I'd been hit by a bus. This always happens, so it's nothing surprising. I should feel better tomorrow.
I'd better. Bleh. Bed.
