ok, so you guys have one candidate that's not a complete psycho or moron...

I just finished watching the Democratic debate on You Tube and just about all of the responses from all of the candidates made me want to poke my eyes out with a spork. Except for Obama's. As many bad decisions as our current president has made, when you're asked a question about what you'll do in your administration, don't put the other guy down ( Read more... )

Steph, I have to ask: did we watch the same debate? I went back and reread the transcript just to see how out of hand the mudslinging was, and I gotta tell you--I didn't see much there at all. Additionally, aside from Kucinich, I thought the candidates were fairly middle of the road, probably a little too right for my tastes, actually. Were you watching the YouTube/CNN debate at the Citadel?

Oh and I got your email! I'll be sending you a response soon!

In fact, I suspect there's going to be a good share of it at the Republican debate as those candidates try to distance themselves from him ( ... )

Just to clarify, I totally expect the Republicans to be doing quite a bit of lip service and Bush-bashing and telling us what they think we want to hear. It just stood out to me that Obama seemed to hardly be doing that at all.

While I agree that the very rich should definitely not be given a tax break, it's just hard for me to imagine Democrats in charge and taxes not going up everywhere.

Except I think the Democratic party has shifted from more taxes for everyone (which I'm for?) to the rich have more money and should be taxed accordingly. Also, what are you basing this belief on? The last democratic administration sure didn't raise taxes indiscriminately.
