Donate at least $50 to
Partners in Health for earthquake relief, and not only will I pat you on the back, I'll bake you a goddamn cake and deliver it to the NYC address of your choice. I'm particularly good at carrot cake, chocolate cake w/ raspberry sauce, cherry-cream scones with homemade lemon curd, bacon-wrapped medjool dates stuffed with parmesan, quiche lorraine, cream cheese brownies, gluten-free key lime bars, or gluten-free chocolate peanut butter icebox pie.
Waaaay more romantic than flowers for Valentine's Day, eh?
"Sweetie, I donated to a health care NGO for earthquake relief in your honor. Now let's eat this cake."
The last two paragraphs of
this editorial will give you an idea of why PIH is solid choice for donation (caveat- the author is on their development board).
If you can make a satisfactory argument for another NGO, and you want cake, let me know.
This is an attempt to use my power of yum for the greater good, not just the good of my friends, coworkers & families.
