also, remember when I made that post about how I thought I had a heart attack in Jacksonville? with the shortness of breath and arm tingling? yeah, it happened again today on my way to class. It was building up from the moment I woke up, which I can look back and see. Started out as a stomach ache, then breathing got more and more difficult, then I felt pressure, then I felt some sort of odd feeling in my left arm, all over the course of about an hour and a half. it didn't last as long this time (it was really bad for about 20 minutes) and I could stand (the first time got to a point where I was wobbling and had to sit down) and talk fairly coherently, but it's still a scare.

the doctor I had at the clinic was a lot more helpful than the one I had in Jacksonville. he plotted out all it most likely isn't (heart palpatations, asthma, food alergy, anything to do with my lungs or heart, really) and said that it most likely was some sort of anxiety problem. anxiety attack, probably. since it's only happened twice and without any frequency, he told me not to worry about it now. he advised me that if it starts happening more, they'll send me to someone who can teach me ways to calm down, how to try and get in a normal breathing pattern, stuff like that. after that, if it gets worse, the doc said they'd think about anxiety medication. xanex or the like. we'll see. I'd almost rather just have the xanex now.

so yeah, that's the update on my slowly but surely failing body. what's awful is that this happening again just racks up even more problems that I'm contending with. my body simply does not care for my (its?) health.
