okay, so obviously i was bored this weekend, being trapped studying at home & not getting to spend easter with my family. so i went on a mission to transform an old pair of jeans into a balmain ss09 inspired pair of bleached/torn ones :)

Oh wow, I just realized that was you on the Lookbook.nu Tumblr! I was scrolling through my feed and I saw this and I was like "oh those are some really cool jeans."

haha that's crazy cause i don't even know what tumblr is! AWESOME!

lol, when i looked up 'lookbook' on tumblr, even though i don't really understand the results... i did see my butt in thumbnails twice.

Tumblr is another kind of like... media "reblog," where people post pictures they like, music, videos, etc. I just use mine to post photobooth pictures of myself every day :|

And here's my favorite, to show you a good example of one:

yeah, i sorta get it... it's basically a 'look what i found' sorta thing right?

what i'm trying to grasp is like, this for example: http://lookbookdotnu.tumblr.com/post/96071007/destroy-everything-you-touch ... what does it mean when people "like it" is it about as meaningful/less as a facebook-like? and then what are the 'reblogs' haha. i'm just trying to understand this cause i seem to be behind on things like this, twitter & polyvore etc... perhaps i just look into them too much to try and find an actual purpose.

thanks for showing me that one by the way! it's so pretty & organized compared to the other ones i just started... tumbling... upon? lol

Yeah, "liking" something on Tumblr is just like "liking" something on Facebook or Twitter. "Reblogs" I guess are blogs where you post content that's not original... I guess an example of this would be weheartit.com or hypem.com.

:( I'm so gay for networking sites.

oh okay!
yeah, i'm just completely mesmerized at the fact that a photo i posted like 20+ hours ago is 'blogged' a bunch more times on all these individual accounts! i guess its pretty cool though that your content can be spread so virally in that way. i'm probably just getting old cause i'm more used to traditional stuff like lj & facebook (and get all huffy when they make site changes), but it's actually really cool!

thanks for explaining all that to some old chick trying to catch up with the times ;) i would totally join more if anyone gave me the slight encouragement to; i just never know much about networking sites & figure its best to avoid them since i get addicted soooo easily!
