I wanted to the "Top Five OTP & When You Fell" meme, but... I have a memory like Swiss cheese, and I can't remember the specific moment when I fell, I just know that I did. So you get the list, sans moments. And as svmadelyn said: I tend to think of OTPs in terms of--"cannot stand to see either character with anyone else".

  1. Doug Ross/Carol Hathaway (ER) - Oh, God, I loved them so much, from the beginning. So much love there, so angsty and complicated and sexy as hell, and absolutely meant to be together, period, as soon as they both removed their heads from their asses.
  2. Fox Mulder/Dana Scully (X-Files) - I mean, really... how can you pick one moment? There was just a steady, persistent respect and love, growing day by day, despite their seeming differences. Now, granted, I stopped watching after a certain point, but dude... for a while, they had some of the very best UST in the history of all ever.
  3. Eric Gotts/Jaye Tyler (Wonderfalls) - Oh, I wish I could have seen more of this one... they were hilarious and dysfunctional and adorable. I loved the way Eric would look at Jaye (fireworks!), and the way he was completely willing to go with whatever wacky thing she wanted to do, willing to believe everything she said, and willing to see the world her way, even when she wasn't sure herself what the hell was up. Plus, Jaye was COOL, and the fact that Eric saw that straight away was totally happymaking.
  4. Jeremy Goodwin/Natalie Hurley (Sports Night) - So snarky, so sweet, so obviously meant for each other. Every time they were happy, I was happy, and every time they failed at being together, my chest ached.
  5. Clark Kent/Lex Luthor (Smallville) - Fate, man. FATE. From the beginning, they fundamentally changed one another, to the very core, and they will never, never be rid of each other; all that passion and guilt and betrayal and lust intertwined for the rest of their days. I used an Iron & Wine quote on an SV wallpaper once, and it think it sums them up perfectly: "We were born to fuck each other, one way or another."
