blackberries, peaches

I am the most impractical grocery shopper in the history of ever. The thing is that I don't think in terms of meals, because I usually only eat one a day being too lazy to cook the full three. (I just eat snacks in lieu of breakfast/lunch/dinner.) So I blew like, twenty bucks on fruit alone yesterday; I don't regret it. Especially when I made ( Read more... )

I used to buy loads of freshly squeezed juice (tangerine, orange, pineapple/grape combo, etc) M&S Food is like the best thing that EVER happened to the UK EVER. I would also always have a bottle of the fab Rose wine they import in the fridge. I don't much like eating fruit (I have insanely sensitive teeth, any fruit but possibly banana hurts them) but I LOVE fruitjuice. And also, cheese. The weirder the better.

Other than that, I, like you, am a compulsive book buyer. I also prefer reading things in English, so my biggest expence since I moved back to Bulgaria is thrawling through bookstores for English books (at about twice the price of BG editions) or shipping them from Amazon (BG also has VAT on books, the SHITTEST move EVER) so it costs me about twice as much again with the shipping charges. Now I make huge book lists and buy everything I want to read on my yearly trip to the UK (without which I would quickly and quietly go insane) and then struggle to get them all home. It sucks since there are a few authors whose books I HAVE to read as soon as they are published. Waiting to get them is taxing my patience something dreadful. *sighs to self* Neve, you have to find a less expensive/ nerve wracking hobby. The irony is KILLING me.

Oooh, yes, fruit juice is awesomeness. I like to mix fruit juices with like, sparkling water or carbonated drinks, to give them a bit of fizz. Haha, yay for weird cheese! I was never a huge cheese fan, but I've been slowly getting more into the different kinds. They're just so expensive!

Oh, honey - I am so saddened by your book-buying woe. I am more than willing to buy and ship books your way. Solidarity for the bibliophiles! I know how much it can hurt, waiting to read an anticipated book. Here, my email: slob.child at gmail dot com - if you ever, EVER desperately need/want a book that would be freakishly expensive to order over the internet, then just let me know and I'll do my best to get it to you.

OMG!! Darling, that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever offered to do for me, ever!!! I freaking love you! I might have to set up a direct debit to your account every month :p

Seriously though, I'm gonna be in the UK in December, I can just about bear the wait another month (almost to the day. Gah!!) Currently I'm dying for the new Laurell K Hamilton, Terry Pratchett and Richard Morgan, and that's for starters. I keep telling my parents what a sacrifice I'm making, not ordering these online now :D But really, I will take you up on that offer at some point next year! Honestly, I'm beyond words at your generosity (of time and effort); I wish I could reciprocate somehow.

We should so set up a club: Bibliophiles of the world, unite!

XDDDDDD

Anytime! For srs. I know a bunch of places that discount their books, too, so I'll see if I can get good deals. I feel that those who are afflicted with a love of books need to support one another in times of deprivation, so please take advantage of me. :D
