The World According To Jeffery
Saturday: I worked on my day off. It wasn't bad. Came home, showered, got ready and headed to Luna with Tyree and Faith. I had a pretty good time. I only wish we had gotten there sooner. The night seemed to fly by super fast. I ended up seeing Roman and Eva there. Unexpected and very cool. I half expected Alice to be there. Maybe next time. Had a really great talk with Eva. It had a lot of heart.
Sunday: After being out pretty late Saturday, I mostly loafed around the house all day. I finally got a shower and was getting ready to call Eric when he called me. We went out to Pontiac for Arts, Beats and Eats. There were a few bands playing we wanted to check out. We got there as Ghost City was playing their last song. That was a let down. I really wanted to check them out. After they were done we went over and talked with Stephen Palmer(formerly of the Fletcher Pratt). Eric is buddies with him so they basically chatted it up for a few minutes while I people watched. After that we went and got some tickets for beer. 10 dollars for 16 tickets. 8 tickets for a beer. So for those of you doing the math at home. Thats a 5 dollar beer. Ugh. Where do these people get off.
After Ghost City was Johnny Headband. They were pretty sweet. I liked them live better than listening to the disc, but now listening to the disc is a lot easier.
Thunderbirds are Now played last. I have always seen this bands name around town and have always been curious to see them. I was thinking to myself Sunday as well 'why have these guys never opened for a band I've went to see!?'. I realized the answer to this was because they kinda suuucked. Pretty big let down.
Went and got a bite to eat on the way home. It was a pretty good night out over all.
Monday: Labor Day: I worked. Another not too bad day. I had all these small plans for things I wanted to get done when I got home today. Stupid little things like cleaning the cats litter. By the time I got home though I was dragging ass. It hit me the second I sat down. I wasn't going to be doing anything! I made a few sandwiches and then just zoned out on the internet most of the night. Wasted days.
I am hoping to hear back from specs tomorrow/today. I think I'm going to call when I wake up just to see whats going on.
I've still got high hopes for my free xbox 360. Every day the mail runs I hope it will be waiting for me when I get home from work or that I'll wake up to it one morning. *fingers crossed*
I watched Notes On A Scandal the other day. I really liked it until the end. The end totally ruined the whole movie for me. I can't wait to get some new stuff from Netflix! I need to start getting more stuff to watch than stuff to copy.
