Well, I'm pretty well caught back up into central timezone now...
Shanghai was incredible. Everything's so fucking huge, it almost feels like a caricature of a city. We lived like kings for 10 days, eating and drinking and shopping like crazy. Saw lots of interesting stuff, met some cool people, partied it up.
I spent a day in Beijing, and though everyone told me that wasn't enough time, I saw about everything I really wanted to see there. The Great Wall, Tienanmen Square, the Forbidden City, and this random temple for the prayer for a good harvest, which turned out to be really cool.
I was pleasantly surprised by the ex-pat's we met there, they were all really interesting people, I guess you don't end up living in China by being closed-minded or unadventurous. =] The pollution was terrible, breathing was not so fun, but whatever, I got to come back here. =]
