In which I betray Joss Whedon

And so, merely two months after qualifying (although not actually applying) for her bachelors, Sliven went back to Uni to do some more schooling. Because this, she figured, would be a batter thing to do than being bored and left with no money. And all was good.

I might be landing a web design-gig soon, I'm working on a proposal right now. Soon as I'm good to go, I'll get down to the fun part; actually designing the page. Yay! The tricky part is finding out how much cash I should ask for. Details, details.

In completely different news, I'm watching Firefly for the first time. Yes, the very first. And... I'm not sure I'm getting it. It's not all that captivating. I don't care a lot about the characters. I sort of want to know what's going to happen, but I would never have hung around till next week to find out, if I'd seen just an episode on the telly. I kind of understand why there was only one season, although fans of the show might kill me for saying so. Meh. I'm by far more impressed by Dollhouse.

Also, I saw just now over at IMDB that they're making a movie adaption of Where the Wild Things Are. I cannot help but wonder why, exactly? I like the book. I know it's a classic. Partly because it is a book, and making the most of being a book, what with the illustrations "growing" out all over the pages. Also, it's not a very long book. But hey, it's a classic, and so it needs to be filmed, so that people who wouldn't read it may still see the classic-ness of it all. Or what's the general idea?
