Name: Eldina
Age: 16
Gender: Female
01. Four Strengths:
Loyalty:I am an amazing friend, and not only that, but I stay true to my notions, beliefs and people. I would never let someone down on the sole purpose of my own enjoyment, but only if I had a motive.
Open-minded: I never narrow myself to one thing, because of the diversity in the world. I am open to new ideas and concepts. I do not judge anyone by what they are, but who they are.
Easy-going sense of humor: I do not make fun of things that may hurt other people. I love to make people laugh because I believe laughter is the best medicine.
Maturity: For most people my age, I am very mature. I think of life in a different perspective than most teenagers and this allows me to handle things in a more collected manner.
02. Four Weaknesses:
Obsessive-Compulsive: Whenever I'm doing something, I always need to count it. For example, I have to check if I have my keys with me every 5 minutes. I feel that this is too distracting and time-wasting, and it is very unhealthy for me.
Vindictiveness: I feel that my desire for revenge can get out of hand because I feel I will do something I might regret. I think that justice needs to prevail and I take it into my own hands, which isn't in my control.
Doing things in the heat of the moment: I get so caught up in the moment, that my anger or whatever feeling I have justifies what I'm going to do. Eventually, I start to regret and I hate this quality about myself.
Low Self-Esteem: I sometimes feel so insecure and do not want to be around with other people because I believe they think they are better than me.
03. What is the one worst and one best quality you believe that a person can possess? Why?
The worst quality a person can posses is hypocrisy. I don't believe there is nothing worse than being a hypocrite. Hypocrites are extremely hard to trust, because they themselves might be confused, and if they cannot trust themselves, they do not deserve the trust of anyone else. Also, hypocrites are weak because they are afraid to admit their own faults.
The best quality a person can possess is courage. Courage is the most magnificent trait a person can harbor. With courage, people have more freedom because they do not fear the consequences of their actions. Also, not only in facing danger, but in facing reality, courage plays a very significant role. Courage is about facing life as it is, and realizing things can always get worse. A courageous individual will not complain about how horrible their life is, but look at it in an optimist point of view and fight their battles.
04. If you were faced with a boggart what shape would it be? Why?
I would see the devil because I am very sensitive when it comes to religion. For an unknown reason, I fear seeing the devil, and/or thinking about him. I feel that if I keep thinking about him too much, that he may appear out of nowhere and somehow possess me. I fear the dark mostly, but I believe the devil is the dark personified. They are both evil things to me, and I see them in a correlated sense.
05. If you looked into the Mirror of Erised, what would you see? Go into as much detail as possible.
My dream job is to go into the fields of criminology and psychology. In the mirror, I would see myself in a room talking to a serial killer and trying to figure them out as much as possible. I'd also see myself standing next to a detective or a criminal profiler. In addition, I believe the Mirror of Erised would show me in my future self, in a beautiful and grandiose house, and I'd see myself holding an abundant amount of money. Furthermore, I'd see a wonderful, loving family of my own and most importantly, I'd see myself happy, optimistic and loving life.
06. Please pick a color from
this Color Symbolism Chart that you feel fits you the best. Copy and paste it here. Why do you feel this suits you? Green
Nature, bad spirits, spring, fertility, youth, environment, wealth, money (US), good luck, vigor, generosity, go, grass, aggression, inexperience, envy, misfortune, coldness, jealousy, disgrace (China), illness, greed, corruption (North Africa), life eternal, air, earth (classical element), sincerity, hope, Cancer (bright green, star sign), renewal, natural abundance, growth, health, August, balance, harmony, stability, calming, creative intelligence, Islam.
There are many colors that defined my personality, but this one stuck out the most. It includes, "bad spirits," and this is significant to me, because I like to discuss the supernatural and I often feel like there are spiritual entities out there. Also, as said previously, I have an immense fear of the devil, who is viewed as a "bad spirit." Also, the color includes wealth, money, and youth and these compelled me because I am young, and I often think in a very immature way. In addition, wealth is something I would love to have in the future and I value money to the point of it making me happy in life. The color also discusses envy and jealousy, and this reminded me of how often I wish i was someone else and I do complain about my life. Contrarily, the color also discusses harmony and Islam, and this is also crucial for me, because I do have some balance and control over my actions, and the religion I pertain to is Islam, so the color green attracted me the most out of all the colors.
07. If you could have any magical item from the universe of Harry Potter, what item would you choose? How would you use it?
would love to have the Resurrection Stone. This item is extremely unique, because it allows the dead to come back for a limited amount of time. Nevertheless, it would be a magnificent thing for me to use it because I am very interested in my ancestry. I would use the Resurrection Stone to revive my dead relatives and to ask them as much as I can about my deceased ancestors. This would give me a foundation and base to start researching about my family. I would love to find about my family history as much as I could, and out of all the items in the Harry Potter universe, the Resurrection Stone exists for the one main objective of reviving someone currently dead.
Also, I'd love to have a wand. I don't think I'd be able to choose between a wand and the Resurrection Stone, so my answer lies here. In a magical sense, I think having a wand would be amazing, because of the astronomical things I could do. On the other hand, tracing my ancestry has been something I've always wanted to do, so the Resurrection Stone associates more with my prevalent desires.
08. Which character from the Harry Potter world do you feel you relate the most to and why? I feel like I relate most to Luna Lovegood. In the Harry Potter books, we are told people perceive her as someone weird, because she is a bit "different." I can relate to her because I have been in her exact situation. She isn't different in a bad way, and I seem some of myself in that aspect. Also, she is a Ravenclaw, and they value wisdom and intelligence the most, which is something I do as well. Luna is an extremely insightful character, and I find a lot in common with her.
09. Which character from Harry Potter is your favorite and why? I particularly like Lord Voldemort. I am not a fan of his murderous ways, but he is somewhat an intriguing character. His entire history is very mysterious and I would love to find out more about it. He is one of the elements of the question of "Nature Vs. Nurture?" Voldemort would definitely be someone interesting to study in a psychological aspect, to see if he was born evil or was it his unfortunate upbringing. I think Voldemort is a unique paradox: he hates Muggles and Muggle-borns, but he himself came from a half Muggle background. It can be discussed whether Voldemort contains some ounce of self-hatred.
10. Which character from Harry Potter is your least favorite and why? As much as Ron is a good friend to Harry, I find him my least favorite character. I think he is really immature and lacks empathy/sympathy. For example, in Goblet of Fire, he claims Harry wants more fame. Also, in Deathly Hallows, he leaves Harry and Hermione because he expected the journey would come risk-free. I think the way he interprets everything is extremely childish. True, it may not be his fault, but he needs to give people a chance. He is very narrow-minded and stubborn, which are two traits I dislike.
11. What do you think your favorite and least favorite classes would be? What about teachers? Why? My least favorite classes would be any that include little magic, for example, History of Magic. I think this would be so mundane and cliche, so I would find it very boring. Other than that, I would enjoy all of the classes at Hogwarts, due to the fact they are magical in and of themselves, which sounds like fun. I don't think I'd like Snape, not because he is somewhat cruel, but the way he teaches. He treats people like they are animals, and the way he treats them if they get an answer wrong. I like McGonagall and Hagrid because they sound like magnificent and nice teachers and people as well.
12. Which of the Harry Potter books was your favorite and why? I loved all of them equally, but if I had to choose It would definitely be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In this book, we are taken aside the safe atmosphere and Hogwarts and the trio are put in a dangerous situation. This book models the courage and shows how strong friendship is. The book provides insight and Harry, Ron, and Hermione are put into the mentality of adults instead of children. The book shows the evolution of the three, and we seem them as brave young adults and show the peak of their adolescence.
13. If you could change ONE thing in the series, what would it be and why? Since many people choose similar things please explain your personal feelings on the subject. I would change the final confrontation of Voldemort and Harry. I thought it was very interesting and J.K.Rowling showed Voldemort is his own weakness, but the battle was so anticlimactic. In all 7 books, we were awaitng this amazing climax but it somewhat disappointing. Harry and Voldemort were just talking, and that seemed so trivial to what Harry went through in the past 7 years. Nevertheless, the situation did show how Voldemort may be an excellent wizard, but he still overlooked important things. His own worst fear was realized: being human.
14. Please list traits from each house that you feel you have in some capacity.
Hufflepuff: I am very loyal and nice, and I feel that I am an excellent friend. I am very reliable and people can tell me anything without me making them feel uncomfortable. I also work very hard, and spend a lot of time on my school work.
Gryffindor: I can be very brave, depending on the situation. I am not exactly the epitome of courage, but I'm not the personified version of weakness either.
Ravenclaw: I value wisdom and intelligence as much as this house does. I believe intelligence will get a person very far and not only being book-smart, but having common sense and cleverness as well.
Slytherin: I have set many goals and objectives for myself, and I can be very Machiavelilan if I have to be.
15. Which house do you feel you have the least kinship towards? Why? Out of all the houses, I'd say Gryffindor. I carry some traits that the other houses hold dear, but I barely have any courage. Fear is my biggest fear, and his mentally paralyzes me. I feel that I wouldn't belong in Gryffindor because of my lack of courage. I'm not extremely fearful, I can face my fears if I really push myself, but I believe my fear will overpower my subconscious courage.
