My Rat's a Dumbass

Took Splinter to vet for lump removal. Fucker took his staples out on the way home. *head desk*

Thankfully the lady I adopted him from will be here tomorrow to bandage him up. If I had only finished vet school.....

I don't think I'm going to have more rats after this. Apparently it is common.

Yes the vet office was already closed by the time I got home. They're almost an hour away, and I was the last visit of the day.

Silly rat. I guess they don't make Elizabethan cones for rats?

The Elizabethan collar restricts their movement and blocks them from grooming, which they are pretty OCD about.

Now he's re-stapled and wrapped in medical tape like a rat burrito. It was so funny to see him fall over when he tried to groom his belly again.
