Its now been 3 weeks and 2 days since I lost useful sight in my right eye. While partial functionality has been restored to the eye, I still am unable to read printed text using both eyes. Sadly I've kind of gotten used to the semi-double vision (most people I see seem to have three eyes) and random "ghosts". The right eye is still extremely sensitive to all light over 10 candle power, however its not nearly as painful as that day that started all of this when the pain was so intense I actually thought about scooping the eyeball out with a melon baller. Thank God
thekiltedjew stopped me and instead drove my crippled ass to the emergency room. But that fiasco is a whole different story. As it stands right now my right pupil is once again adjusting normally to light changes, however the pupil is still visibly smaller than the left one at all times. This is causing the blurred/semi-doubled vision. My eye doctor told assured me yesterday that my recovery is progressing normally and that I've made vast improvements over the past 3 weeks. He estimates my vision should return to normal in 2-4 months. I hope sooner as I recently bought a novel that I'm currently unable to read. Which is a real bummer as I bought it to read on the flights for my weekly business trips to Phoenix. Its a two hour commute (each way) to work. Damnit!
Time for an angry rant: I couldn't help but notice that only a handful of folk remembered my 30th birthday two weeks ago. I was one of them. Mad shouts go out to
dopshoppe,
thekiltedjew,
hotmamacita1, my Aunt, and one of my two parents for having the intestinal fortitude shoot me an email or phone call on that specific day. Thats all I ever ask for. Those listed above are being placed on the protected scrolls. When my people come to Earth you will not be harmed. Damnit!
