(no subject)
So I've had a nice break so far...I took Friday and Saturday off, and then had Sunday and Monday anyways, and Viet had his spring break. I didn't really accomplish anything spectacular, but it was nice to relax.
Victor took me aside the other day and told me that if I were to stay in MI they would make me a partner in the business, that I would be in charge of all marketing etc, and that we could open up two or three more stores.
I was all "I'm flattered, but Viet..." and he said that Viet should go to Michigan Law and then when he got out he could sign on as our franchise's lawyer, and handle all of that side.
I don't think this is something I'm ready to do with my life, but it's nice to know that I'm talented enough to work for someone for less than six months and have them offer me a partnership in their business. If I were staying in Michigan I might give it a go, just because it would be fantastic on a resume and lots of fun for a few years...but that would mean living in Michigan, and...yeah.
Viet considered the idea and then said that ML doesn't have an international law program, which is what he plans to specialize in.
He might be in Cambodia for the summer.
Now, I am off to do my recycling, as in MI there is a 10cent bottle deposit on all carbonated beverages, which adds up after a while.
