February has been known as one of the least favorite months. Its depressing and it can't end quickly enough. However, this year for some reason I have no problem with February. It just seems like any other month.
My kanji goal for February is actually going well. For the most part, I've been able to set aside some time to study kanji, and I feel like I'm making progress. Instead of trying to overdo it, I've kept it simple and slow. I feel that consistency will do more good for me than any cramming I might attempt. I'll eventually reach my goal, but it won't be as quickly as I had anticipated.
The book I'm using has 2000 kanji in it. And it only teaches you the English meanings. The point of the book is to get you on a equal lvl with anyone who has a Chinese language background, who already knows the meanings of the kanji. My friends have had the most success with this method. And I remember Linh being able to understand basically anything written down because she would read it as Chinese first. It teaches you do remember the English meanings through stories.
Lists help. I make a list of things to do and add "kanji" to the bottom of it every time.
