What they do is not horribly different from the mercenaries in my other story. Rather than being strictly "hired killers", they have a wide range of jobs ranging from transporting goods to getting a kitty down from a tree for 10 bucks. And sometimes killing.
Most mercenaries are of course true neutral, only caring about making money. Dilia, however, won't accept missions of ill intent, like murder or stealing. She does however accept missions of defense assuming the thing they're defending isn't obviously evil.
Despite this "limitation", she is so good at negotiating larger payments that her group makes competitive money, often without bloodshed.
Besileyz and Dilia had known each other for years, meeting in the Diuban version of College. Besil harbored a crush on Dilia, but Dilia was fairly naive and never really caught on (Though she did wonder why Besil always asked for them to shower together. 'It's fun to do things with friends!' seemed suspicious.)
Ifles had known Besileyz, and met Dilia through her. They bonded quickly, and the three of them decided to use their skills to explore the world while making ends meet by doing various jobs for others.
