Prom fun.
Oh, Prom...
A few minor logistics problems... MK and Kay had to cancel bowling for an early dinner reservation, and me and Fez were gonna be late for bowling (by maybe 15 minute?), so Julia and KT cancelled it. There was actually a reason beyond that for the cancelation, i think, but I couldn't really hear Julia's explanation over her cell phone. In any event, Fez's dad let us use the Prius, which is a tottally kick ass car. We got to Olive Garden later than we'd planned, and it was a half-hour wait for a table, even though they'd told us the day before that a table for two would be at maximum a 15 minute wait, and we didn't need reservations. We only had time to order salads, so the waiter guy didn't really like us. Lame high school kids with no money... blah.
As we're leaving the restaraunt, this woman comes up to me and says, "Excuse me, my daughter really wants to say 'hi' to you. She thinks you're a princess." I look down to see this adorable little girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old (a camper cub!), pink dress, brown hair in little pig-tails, and a snow white barbie doll. She looks up at me, big brown eyes, and when i smile at her and say "hi," she turns away and pretends to play with her doll, really shy. "She's been talking about you all night," her mom says. I'm sorry Fez, but no matter how many times you say I look like a princess, that was the the time I felt MOST like one.
Prom itself was more fun than last year's, as unlikely as that seems. I think it's cuz I knew more people there. It seems that more seniors come to prom, even though it's a junior-senior prom. In any event, I had the best date ever. Fez dances like a maniac. It's so awesome. And of course, we haven't seen each other for a while, so we were... affectionate. A few people said i was a slut. Yes. A slut in an exclusive, long-term relationship. You all know you're jealous.
I think the best part about prom was that I was able to spend equal amounts of time with my friends and boyfriend. I was a little worried about having to balance my attention, but it seemed to work out alright. Better music this year, too.
If anyone has pictures from prom, send them to me! I'll put up some of mine later, but they're pretty lame (basically mom making us pose weird, while eric was in a hurry to get to his date).
