But just for funsies, here's an introduction to a second writing project I'm tinkering with a little bit, even though I obviously suck shit at even keeping one updated. I don't give a fuck, really. Nobody ever said I had to finish what I start, especially when nobody reads it in the first place.
Untitled project 2 / intro
The basic human instinct is to reproduce. Fuck like rabbits if we have to, spread the seed of natural evolution across the planet, and to hell with the consequences.
Stop for a minute and consider, though. As a species, we have created advanced technologies that can sustain lives that shouldn't make it in a true Darwinian environment. Because of our capacity for feeling, we DO sustain lives that are genetically unsound.
Ever wonder why depression, anxiety and other mental disorders are so huge these days? Why we have a market of pills that make people millions trying to fix these conditions? Because the schitzoid disorders are maintained in the genetic pool. Because people who would not ordinarily survive are corrupting healthy genetics and passing on a pollution. If nothing else comes sooner, humanity will fall to itself.
But what might happen if these genetic disorders were not the only pollutant growing in our collective gene pool? Something buried under years of evolution, a hidden scourge that got buried among our end result. That which corrupts us, what results in our defects, a brain trying to survive as two ideas at once. What do you imagine would come out if something finally came out as just one idea. The wrong idea.
