triatha_ron Public Service Announcement (Part Deux)
Have I mentioned my triatha_ron fic?
It's up, with voting options left only for, like, a day, I think.
It was a bitch to write, it was. Totally took everything I had to get it done. Ron just refused to cooperate (I went through eight drafts, the last of which I finally quit trying to make Ron narrator and then things finally started to get on track). The only scene I'm even particularly fond of, though, is the hospital scene. Which, as it goes, is the one I pulled straight out of my own childhood and then tweaked a bit. I wasn't the sick one, though. Was the one leaching on my younger brother, as Ginny and Percy rather do to Ron, absolutely refusing to leave his side. He had pneumonia, I had (and still have) a distrust of doctors. I'm also the overly protective type and... yeah. I gave those doctors hell.
