Copied and Pasted from Traci's LJ comments.....in which i originally posted this.
I'm totally doing this here cause it'll be way easier, also I'm really lazy, maybe I'll copy and paste to my journal later.
I feel most people reading this will be disappointed because I don't read many books. But, here it goes:
1)Total number of books I've owned?
Probably around 40-50. Like I said I'm not a bookrophiliac like traci. Lots of my books are like from when I was a kid and read the "My Teacher Is an Alien" series like 50 times a month. Most of my newer book purchases aren't for relaxing reading but studying. I have like 10 music theory books just lying around.
2) The last book I bought?
Last Book I bought was probably the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy complete set thing. I first started reading it because I wanted to see what it was all about before the movie came out and everyone always told me it was a great series. I agree, it was a great series, in fact probably my favorite....looks like My Teacher is an Alien is finally taking a back seat.
3) The last book I read?
Well, the last book I finished was Hitchiker, but I've sporadically been reading "Stalin's Apologist" for my International Journalism class as well as "Essays in Zen Buddhism" and "Successful Lyric Writing", for fun.
4) Five books that mean a lot to me:
1. First books I suppose are the Hitchiker's Guide books. They're great because Douglas Adams is a giant computer nerd that makes fun of Computer Nerds....and Jesus. Two of my favorite things, making fun of nerds and jesus. But really, they're just fun well-told stories with great characters that you just can't connect with as well by watching the movie. READ!
2. My Teacher is an Alien Series. I don't really know why, I just remember I read these books all the f-ing time as a kid. Also, the last book in the series was called "My Teacher Flunked The Planet". How cool was that when you're 10?
3. Have a Nice Day!: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks. Yeah, it's a surprise entry into the list, but Mick Foley was a hard working man with an interesting story about how he became a Professional Wrestler and married some smoking hot chick. It's a really good book.....I think I learned some sort of Life Lesson by reading it, you know along the lines of if you work hard you can accomplish amazing things. It's a good book....stop laughing.
4. I can't really think of a 4 and 5 so I'll just put "Contemporary Music Theory" Volumes I and II. They're only on there because I can't think of anything else I've read and really paid attention to as much.
