From Barcelona, no less.

I must inform the world, the world that is at least in contact through the journal, that I am in Spain. I am tired, sore, hungover, and in general not feeling particularly well. I arrived last night from London after a wonderful eight days with my folks in the city. Rode the underground a good deal, saw a bunch of artwork at the National Gallery and the Tate Modern, both of which might hold a sizeable percentage of the world's most famous works. Man it was incredible. Christmas day on the Thames was alright but overpriced. Tower of London a little too touristy, but we were tourists after all. Two theater shows in Picadilly circus, probably the area second only to Broadway in terms of quality and quantity: 39 Steps, an incredible adaptation of the hitchcock story into a comedy noir-like caper. I whispered to my dad halfway through that I'd bet it was an incredibly taxing but incredibly fun show to put on. Simple set, only four actors often playing more than one role during a single scene. The actors did all of their own special effects and set changes that were fantastic in terms of the slapstick and ironic occurneces. Awesome. Also saw The Sound of Music...I still have younger sisters remember. But really it too was good. Impressive singing and completely jaw-dropping technically and set wise. Two fantastic nights of theater, for relatively little money. The best part was spending the whole time with my folks, who I´ve missed for the past four months abroad. Corny, but true.

Hm. Last night wined and dined and wined some more with the travel companions in Barcelona. Expected to head to Granada today....which I will. But via bus. Because we have met with, since 10:30 am, constant misfortune and failure, as ouur passes don´t cover rail to Granada and to purchase would work but all tyhe trains are full. Catching now an overnight bus. GOtta run, internet time is out!
