Eminem has signed on to star in the big screen adaptation of the CBS series Have Gun - Will Travel for Paramount Pictures and Interscope/Shady/Aftermath Films.
Debuting in September 1957, Have Gun - Will Travel was a TV Western starring Richard Boone as Paladin, a gunfighter-for-hire. According to Variety, the film will be updated to contemporary times and see Eminem playing a bounty hunter possibly in Eminem's hometown of Detroit, but those details have yet to be worked out. Have Gun - Will Travel will take Eminem out of that genre and place him in a dramatic role. However, there is likely to be some musical component involving the soundtrack or scoring in which Eminem will be involved.
Have Gun - Will Travel is in the early stages of development; no release date has been set.
