Blargh

I've been sick since Wednesday night, urgghh. I mean that actual night was a fever and all, but the symptoms have been sticking with me every day since then. It kind of sucks! Not to mention that I had to work this weekend, because I could sure use the time to rest or something. Oh well! Today I'm feeling better than usual so hopefully that is a ( Read more... )

Here is where I show off my new icon.

What would be put in your FAQ? "Tear self away from other games and force into your gaming system"? Because that's what I'd write.

The moment I saw that you saved this picture, I knew it would become an icon of yours.

Well actually, I find that using a walkthrough or even shelling out cash for the strategy guide of the game you're trying to get back into and finish helps a LOT, because then you at least have a clear idea of where to go and what to do. If you're picking the game back up after months/years and you can't even remember what the battle system is like, it's kind of unrealistic to expect yourself to also remember what some random townsperson told you to do next.

Plus, even though I like playing games and figuring out things on my own, playing along with a strategy guide can be very fun in its own way. I remember I used to do that when Nintendo Power would give out strategy guides for NES and SNES games. I read the whole Super Mario Bros. 3 guide before I got the game, so I knew just what to do when I finally got it XD It helped pass the time until I got my grubby hands on it, at least.

¬¬ I should've known you'd finish getting your big mansion in AC WW very fast XD; go you! I'm still on the semi-last expansion, but I've been too lazy to pick fruit! On the other hand, I just been logging in to stare at the cherry blossom trees. XD; they only last for about 2 weeks, teh heh.

I really hope you get fully better soon. >< I know the pains of going to work very sick but no choice but to go. Totally uncool =/

Oddly enough, there's absolutely no reason to pay off the last expansion, because you get nothing XD So I think I'll focus on other stuff for the time being. Yeah picking fruit gets old very fast but it's the quickest way to get cash, besides getting lucky with turnips.

Luckily I'm feeling much better today, but it still sucks to not be feeling 100% and still having to go out and do things. It's been slow this weekend which I'm thankful for, though xD

Yeah, there's nothing else after getting the last expansion-- from what I've read if you do pay off the last loan Nook will just tell you you can't expand anymore due to permit restrictions or something.

But anyways, you can work on achieving perfect status on your town, getting the other golden items, and there's always completing the catalog, the museum and what not. XD; hey look at me; been playing more than a year and I'm barely about to complete the dinosaur collection-- have a long ways to go with everything else. On a side note, the Arwing was on sale two days ago for me so I bought it XD

Good to hear you're doing better Shawnie <3

I know seriously, I like Crisis Core more then FF7 itself. It's definitely a better game in general :|b

It seems interesting enough for me to want to play it... not until I finish off a bunch of games first, though xD; I'd like a new PSP RPG to play.

That is a strangely appropriate icon to describe your condition.
Lately, I have been having a big problem with not finishing games. Luckily, I happen to have a pretty good memory so I know what to do.
(Protip: To get back to games, please LAY OFF THE SPOILERS.)

Crisis Core is better than FF VII? Huh?

Yeah spoilers are a big no-no, in fact, not knowing what happens in the story next is sometimes the only thing keeping me going in some games! Plus, I just like always being surprised no matter what.

Also, I have no idea what Crisis Core is like, though it's gotten some good reviews so far. It's not really high up on my priority list to play but I'd like to try it out just to see. I SURE HOPE THAT ZACK FELLOW TURNS OUT OKAY.
