Divorce as a solution

I would have to say that this is by far the best Spanish essay I have ever written. I have really been improving in my writing ability and especially in my idioms, sayings and so forth. My professor makes a point of hating Spanglish, in which he also clasifies English terms that are translated directly. He took HUGE points off on my first essay because I wrote "Paz de la mente" which means "Peace of mind." They don't say it that way in Spanish, but "Tranquilidad" or tranquility. Again, huge points knocked off. So I have to memorize the way they say things to pull a decent grade out of here, which I plan to do. (C+/B- is pretty damn good in this class) So here I am putting all the effort I have into this essay before I email it to a graduate student to be revised tonight. Must.... get.... 100 percent on all remaining essays. The cool thing is, now that I understand the way the class is taught, everything is much, much more learnable. You really do have to do things for yourself at this stage. Most of the things we learn are out of the book and aren't discussed in detail in the classroom. So, all in all, dead week is next week, which entails no homework and no new material, but loads of studying. We have to understand everything we learned in the class for finals, which last 2-3 hours per class. Pretty intense. But then, after that, its spring break and I am 2/3 of the way done with my first year in college. The time is flying. I think I have done a pretty good job with myself this year so far. Estoy contento. now, back to writing. Not much time left. More work to do.
