ok, time for details

ok, so time for information.

Dad's official cause of death was Gangrene in his left foot / ankle / lower leg caused by respiratory disease and circulation problems and some other stuff of a similar nature. He officially passed away a minute or two before I arrived into the room with him but with the time it takes for brain death to occur he would have known I was there (his stats were still a little active but no real heart beat). He waited as long as he could and Andrew was there for a while before the end which I'm glad of for him. It would have been nice to have got there sooner but we travelled at the limit the entire way from Dublin and I cannot be anything but thankful to my Aunts for bringing me home at such short notice.

The funeral was on Saturday past and 9 friends of mine made their way up to the funeral from Dublin for me, I really appreciated it. It was a big service and the minister did a brilliant job, it was clear he was talking about a friend and not just any parishioner of his congregation. We asked for it to be recorded for audio so we can listen over it and hear what we missed, we did the same for Brians but i've not had the heart to listen to it yet.. I think I'll wait til im living on my own and can do it in peace.

Mum's been really good and has organised for most of the stuff that came from the social services to be taken away so that she doesn't have to be alone when the house would be emptied of most of Dads stuff. The stairs especially look huge without the stair lift on them.

Spending my birthday here (its Saturday coming) and we'll be going for dinner somewhere Dad liked and my friend of 20 yrs will come too. Don't really feel like celebrating it but I don't think Dad would thank me for staying home miserable either. Although, when i was home last time Daddy gave me a cheque, which cleared last Friday - I used it to buy myself a wii bundle which includes a wii console, wii sports game, wii fit, the wii remote & nunchuck and a recharable battery pack. Then i bought a wii carry bag seperately. I have some games already at home but David owns the actual Wii and I have to start getting things for myself as in a months time I'll be living alone. eek.

could say more but i'm currently too tired to continue typing while trying to make sense.
