Wrapping presents in the dark redux.

Dec 22, 2006 17:13

So, I just wrapped presents with my sister today from 1:30 to 5:00. I have a lot of cousins.

Did any of you watch The Office Christmas party episode? I hope some of you did. It was really good. If you did, you know how Pam told Roy that if he used more than three pieces of tape to wrap a present, then he was doing something wrong? My sister and I took that as a direct challenge. We had some pretty creative-and pretty long-pieces of tape, but we pretty much succeeded. Also, 50 points went to whoever got the pattern of the wrapping paper to line up along the seam.

[ETA: You know how people say that if you're bad Santa puts coal in your stocking? My sister told me about the "Wrapping Kraken," a monster that will come get me if I make the packages ugly.]

My sister also inadvertently created a totally new Christmas horror: Indian re-gifting. She re-gifted a fleece blanket she got from her company last year, and was complaining this year that she wanted it back. I think she's just going to have to let it go.

christmas, family, sister silliness, holidays
