Whose house are you haunting tonight?

We're working late tonight but there's nothing to do, so here's a few words about the OK Go show last night.

*Finally, a show where the two rows of people in front of me were shorter than I am. Hooray for pre-pubescent girls!

*They wore suits. Damian's was bright blue a la Sandler in Punch Drunk Love. They looked hot (sorry Jesse) but I'm really not into rock stars dressing up. I feel like if you're in a profession where you don't have to wear a suit to work, then you better take advantage. Maybe that's just because I hate work clothes.

*The new songs (they say they are going to start recording an album in Sweden) all sound good, but very similar. There's one really slow, really pretty, really falsetto song that is my complete favorite, mostly because it doesn't sound like anything else they have. I know it's also Jorge's favorite because they always dedicate it to him, but Jorge got arrested for mooning during the convention. They had a new merch guy that looked just like him (his brother).

*No "This Will Be Our Year." BOOO! But, they did do the C-C-C-Cinnamon lips dance. Everyone was super into it and cheering through the whole thing. I thought that was cool. They also did a little synchronized dance at the end of "It's Tough to Have a Crush" that was really cute.

*It was an "involver" show, which is a good idea with a poor execution. The Knitting Factory set up tables for different groups like Driving Votes, Music for America, etc. to get people to do activisty things. The problem is the venue is the size of my bedroom so if two people were standing at one table it caused massive gridlock for everyone else. I got a "No W" poster but didn't get to talk to anybody.

*FUSE ROX!!! (Plz air.)

ok go, live music
