It was a rooftop brawl, and I twisted my own arm.

Last week was busy. On one end, there was a concert at the divey Mercury Lounge. On the other, there was a fancy gala with delicious swag.

Next week is going to be really busy. I have a movie screening, plus three different concerts at three different venues: The Hold Steady, Jenny Lewis, and the Decemberists (which I'm totally excited for now that I got a text from Bayard from the Philly show). Really, though, The Hold Steady alone is enough to wipe me out for a week.

So I can be forgiven if I didn't really do a ton this weekend. After Friday, I didn't leave Brooklyn. (I kind of like it when I get to say that.) In fact, I barely left this building. But don't pity me too much, because this building can be full of good times, including napping, wee-hours MarioKart, and, best of all:

rooftop Scrabble!

I'm actually breaking Jesse's copyright by posting these here, but I'm so jealous of his awesome camera that I don't really care. (He can't really sue me, either, since he already declared all of my property his by common law.) He can zoom in all the way from our apartment to the Williamsburg Bridge--which is not really that close--and it looks like it's right next door. Anyway, you should check out his Flickr set.
