Ted Forrester's real name is Edward. He calls himself a bounty hunter, but what he really is is a killer and an assassin. He mostly hunts the supernatural because he got bored with humans, found they were too easy to kill.

Two nights ago he and my wife had the incredibly stupid idea of trying to kill a vampire here that is from our world. The vampire is tied to my wife. The attempt failed. Edward was cast aside like so much garbage and my wife has been, for all attempts and purposes, imprisoned. Edward is trying to discredit her because he failed to kill Belle. His pride took a beating the other night like it never has before and he blames Anita.

He's an assassin and a killer and he's in my gods-damned police team. He'll fit right in.

Because I can only imagine what he's telling you about my wife. Anita is bound to Belle, that's true. But she would die before she ever obeyed an order from Belle that got someone besides herself hurt.

I want you to know what type of person is suggesting my wife be removed from the police force. And I'm not going to lie, I hate the man and would jump at any chance to screw him over. I promise though that everything I've said is the truth.

I'm not going to remove her from the force.

But I hate assassins. As a rule. Ted's been nothing but good, but if I'm to believe you, that means he's been having us all for fools. Is he the one behind the Assassin's Guild?

I really don't know. I wouldn't put it past him but he's never played well with others from what I understand. Edward is a sociopath with a need to kill though. If he's not part of the Guild, he's meeting his need elsewhere.

He's had a lot of practice at hiding it. I should have said something sooner but Anita asked me not to.

She and Edward have worked together in the past. Anita does legal vampire executions for the government and sometimes he's helped her with those. She's about the closest thing to a friend he's got and I guess she wanted to allow him to keep that.
